Judging...
If people are told to never judge a book by its cover, then why do people still do it? I know it's easier said than done, but why can't anybody follow that rule? According to Psychology Today our appearance really does matter; they conducted a study by showing a handful of people two "candidates". The select few were to choose who they thought would be the best based on looks. In the end, the man who appeared more attractive won. But that leads me to wonder what the researcher's perception of beauty was.

Make-up
Everyday we see commercial on mascara, blush, and lip-stick. But the only people wearing it are girls. Girls wear make-up because it makes them feel beautiful. But why don't guys have to wear make-up? Thinking about it may seam weird because why on Earth would a guy wear makeup anyways? But why not? Men aren't told by society to wear it, but women are. That's why they think it makes them beautiful, I'm not saying it doesn't, but because that's what society's perception of beauty is; people still wear it.
Procrastination
I know when assignments are due and I know how long I have to do them, but why do I wait till the last second to turn them in? An example is this blog post, I had the whole month to turn it in, yet I waited till the last week to do it. I kept telling myself I would work when inspiration struck me. In the end it wasn't inspiration, it was reality. I realized how short of a time I would have left to turn in two posts. But why did I wait till the last minute, and why do I always wait?
Another example is retaking my math test. I had recently gotten the option to retake a math tests because I hadn't done very well on it. I immediately went to the math teacher to figure out what I had did wrong and picked the questions to retake. Once I understood everything, I waited a whole entire week to retake the test. I hadn't forgot, I just didn't want to take it. Again, maybe things are easier said than done. I didn't want to procrastinate, I was sure I wouldn't that time, but in the end I did the opposite. I still waited till the very last day to retake the test. I still can't understand why.
